Parental Involvement

Tri-Councils:

Aquinas Middle and High School offer a unique form of conferences.  Not only the parents are given the chance to meet with the child’s teacher, but the student is also invited to participate in the conference that takes place twice a year.

Home and School Association:

The Home and School Association is set up to provide a link between the parents and the teachers.  All parents are considered members of the Home and School Association and are encouraged to attend all meetings and functions.  The officers for this group are the parents themselves.

Aquinas School Council:

This council meets bi-monthly and is made up of parent representatives from all 13 parishes in the deanery.  They discuss concerns that are brought up from the parents through these representatives or principal and then these are put on an agenda.

Aquinas & St. Mary’s Council of Administration:

This council is made up of parent representatives from both schools councils and serves in an advisory capacity to the administration for both schools on financial matters.  The Council deals with the larger issues that affect the entire school system.

Volunteer Program:

Aquinas has a volunteer program that has supported the school since it’s beginning over 40 years ago.  They perform tasks at the school to help it run smoothly.  Please contact the school’s office if you would like to be a part of our volunteer program.

Aquinas Booster Club

The Aquinas Booster Club is made up of over 500 paid memberships.  The club raises the money for all athletic, drama, marching band, and speech expenses.  The Club has also helped raise money for many items such as: a school van, choral risers, gym renovation, facilities up keep for athletics, athletic uniforms, fine arts, band uniforms, etc.  Fund raisers include such things as: Gate receipts, pizza sales, Super Bowl Sunday Sub Sandwich Sales, Monarch Classic Basketball Tournament, Truck Raffle, etc.  Single memberships to the Booster Club are $10, business memberships are $20, and family memberships are $100.

Finances and Tuition

An Aquinas and St. Mary’s education is an investment in the future of your child. One look at our Mission Statement shows you how important it is to us to provide each and every one of our students with a well-rounded education that is Christ-centered.

Below you will see the tuition for the 2007-2008 School Year.  However, we would like to point out that it is a Lincoln Diocese policy not to refuse any child a Catholic Education because of inability to pay.  Tuition assistance is available from the Guardian Angel Tuition Assistance Fund.  Applications can be picked up in the office.

Tuition:    Tuition for students of families who are registered with a parish in the David City Deanery for 2007-2008 is as follows:
