"Serving Others Under Love"

2007-2008 School Year.

S.O.U.L Club members were busier than usual in February as both Carnival and Operation Cookie fundraisers within the same one week period. Thanks to the support of many area business and individuals substantial donation checks were given to a number of charitable nonprofit organizations including Blue Valley Community Action, Butler County Ministerial Association, Genesis PDC, the Notre Dame Sisters, Father Clifford Anthony Norman's mission work through his Hand Of Help in Robstown, Texas and St. Paul's Catholic Church Mission in New Mexico.

In addition this community service club has again become a silver sponsor for the Relay for Life of Butler County which will be June 6-7 to support efforts to fight cancer as well as prevent it. In 2007 by sponsoring a player for the Harlem Ambassadors fundraiser for Blue Valley Community Action more funds were granted by B.V.C.A. to those in need in our area. That sponsorship will continue in 2008.

A private donation to the scholarship fund of SOUL Club along with some income from Operation Cookie also makes it possible to recognize the outstanding volunteers of SOUL Club with scholarships each year. In this way the importance of volunteering to the community and the appreciation for those who give of their time and talents to help others provide inspiration to those that follow in service.

Anna Nolan and Allen Covault continue to enjoy working with young people and their supporters who can truly make a difference in this community and beyond.
